Class 5.6 | The Meadows School

Welcome to class 5.6, we are all working on a broad and varied curriculum to develop our self-help and independence skills as we develop into young adults. This includes working towards our accreditation Asdan Life skills Challenges (where we are working between Working towards Entry Level and Entry 1 and 2), The Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme and Titan. In addition to this, we are working towards our EHCP targets, specific targets individualised to develop our self-help, independence and communication skills. These targets planned and worked on within the school environment, out in the community but also with the support from multiple agencies. The young people have individualised physio sessions including speech and language, physiotherapists. School nurses, the visual impairment team and various other therapies. The young people are dedicated to their learning and physio programs and we value to valuable support we receive from our parents/carers.
