Partnerships

The Meadows School works with a variety of organisations in order to give an immersive experience of different jobs and opportunities in life.

We have fantastic partnerships with The Birmingham Repertory Theatre, The Open Orchestra, WBA Foundation, Dudley Canal, and River trust. Our partners work with students across the school throughout the academic year.

 Employers

The Meadows Sixth form are working with the Black Country Partnership, which offer work experience placements across two sites. These jobs have a focus on independence and experiencing the world of work outside the school setting. We have visited The Foxes inclusive hospitality Minehead to experience/observe roles in other settings.

Students also get a wide range of work experiences within the school setting, working alongside our on-site professionals to experience the world of work in catering, Maintenance, office duties as well as working with our local community to experience outside opportunities such as caring for the environment at The Temple.

We have worked alongside Vicky O’Connor Senior Enterprise Coordinator (leading in SEND/AP) who has been able to secure work Experience Opportunities for our young people at DPD and Pop-Up shops at Provision House Dudley and Wolverhampton Art Gallery.

We really love working with local and national employers and believe in providing employer encounter opportunities for students and would welcome your support in achieving this goal. You can support our young people in number of ways such as…

  • Providing work experience placements, work shadowing and work visits
  • Taking part in encounter events, such as career talks and Enterprise activities
  • Sharing video tours and opportunities to explore your work.
